Randall Cook Animation wizard Ghostbusters, The Gate, Lord of the Rings
Los Angeles, CA

Randy Cook is a veteran of the visual effects industry, recognized THREE times with an Academy Award for his work bringing Gollum to life in the original Lord of The Rings trilogy. While still living in New Zealand he went on to shoot 2nd unit photography for Peter Jackson on ' King Kong' and is now back in Los Angeles working on feature projects inspired by his hero & friend stop-motion maestro Ray Harryhausen. This magnificent large format drawing of Orson Welles is inspired by the recent publication of Henry Jaglom's lunch conversations with the legendary director & raconteur. In his early career Randall worked with John Musker & Brad Bird and still has the drawing chops to match them! Randall still designs creatures for film but works mostly digitally.  This is a rare opportunity to bid on a piece of traditional art by the hand of an artist responsible for creating some of the most memorable characters in film history.
